My wife, 6 month old and myself will be travelling Etihad business class to Europe later this year. I understand that Etihad doesn't provide pyjamas in Business Class anymore though.
I haven't done such an ultra long haul business class flight before so my question is: is it worth packing some pyjamas to change into on the plane (a 787). Or should I just wear comfortable clothes?
Thanks
Should I pack my own pyjamas for business class ultra long haul?
You'll want to have clothes that will be comfortable to sleep in on the plane and bearing in mind that others can see you when you're walking around the cabin wearing it. If that means bring your own pyjamas then great. I do like changing into the pyjamas that QF provides when I fly QF J/F.
When you're paying for Business long haul you want to make use of it to get a decent amount of sleep.
I don't particularly like to change into PJ's at all. Too much hassle and as sure as anything you and quite a few others will all want to change out of them at about the same time thus creating a waiting time at the toilets.
Just wear nice comfortable loose clothes and a easy to remove top that doesn't require going to the bathroom/ toilet to change. Also there's nowhere to hang your clothes you remove to put the PJ's on . You end up stuffing them in the overhead lockers and they end up badly creased. It's obvious some travellers like them but not this one or brettepi.
I now take the Qantas business pj pants with me and change into those once on the plane when travelling economy / pe but have eliminated the heavily branded top from the play list (instead wear a different long sleeved tshirt). It is much nicer to land in fresh-ish clothes no matter what class you are travelling in.
Are aircraft the only place we wear PJ's in public? Other than kids at the mall of course.
Seriously, I'd rather pack an electric razor and a decent toothbrush than PJ's. The less you have to carry on and worry about the better, especially with a little one to cater for.
pajamas make the flight a lot more comfortable and easy, speaking from experience after flying Etihad's A380 in business to NY. they allow for a lot of flexibility.

I'm the same. I enjoy changing to some nice pants and sleep top. Makes the long haul more comfortable.

Thanks for the replies, everyone. Except for the reply from @brettepi which was just weird.

Please bring PJ if you fly J. Mass prodcution PJ means you would not fit (think about the big Roo which large is very large vs medium is very small)

Great reply - thanks! I'm thinking some Infant Nerofin is a must (and there's your painkiller sponsor, 346.)
